Physical Therapy Coupled with Pilates is an Amazing Combo

Is your physical therapist able to integrate Pilates into your rehab program?

Perhaps they should!

MDs and PTs often recommend Pilates as a path for recovering from injury, no matter your age. It can also help prevent injury because of its focus on core stability, balance, flexibility and posture. Not to mention cultivating the mind body connection

Pilates can also benefit women who are pregnant or post partum by safely strengthening and conditioning the core and pelvic floor. Anyone with pelvic floor issues or dysfunction would benefit from Pilates.

Just make sure you find a practitioner who has gone thru a rigorous certification process, not a handful of weekend courses.

Or come to us!

Both Dr. Cristina and Dr. Vanessa are nationally certified Pilates instructors as well as doctors of physical therapy.

Each PT session at VMPT Well contains Pilates mat and/or reformer work. We find great success with this method and can quickly progress clients from injured patients to confident Pilates students!
